Ren
"Ren" is a kumiko (traditional woodcraft) mobile inspired by surface water. The wooden pieces are assembled by rotating each by 0.5 degrees, showing an organic expression like ripples on the water's surface or sunlight filtering through the trees. It incorporates elements of traditional Japanese interior designs, such as shoji (sliding doors made of translucent paper and wooden lattice frames) and fusuma (rectangular door panels).
