DESIGN TOUCH at STYLE MEETS PEOPLE『HOPE for PEACE / 平和へつながるデザイン』展のために製作した1点もののアートワークです。
The craftsmen of Arita-yaki (ceramics) who were training to create beautiful ceramic painting lost their environment to use their skills because of the war. This artwork has a message for the future generation: We shall not repeat the tragic days of making buttons for the military uniforms, and shall seal such history with the iconic lid painted with the dove and olive images representing peace.
The artwork is a one-off piece created for the “DESIGN TOUCH at STYLE MEETS PEOPLE ‘HOPE for PEACE / Design that brings peace (Heiwa-e tsunagaru dezain)’ exhibition at Tokyo Midtown, Roppongi.
